What are your 2014 New Years Resolutions? How do you plan on keeping them?
Heya playas, I can’t think of a better time to outline your New Year’s resolution goals than right now. This is the Josh, hold on there scooter. Do you really want to dedicate a whole video to New Year’s resolutions? I mean how many people actually keep up with them?
Although that is true I think the reason is because people don’t have a simplified way of going about it. The first step above all else is to write out your goals. I don’t mean type them, I mean physically hand write them on a piece of paper. And once you’ve written them down I want you to stick it in one of three places. The inside of your refrigerator, the face of your computer monitor or on your bathroom mirror.
Because chances are these are the three most visited places by you in your house so obviously you’re not gonna miss it. You want that piece of paper to be in your face at all times. Not like that! The second step is to tell people your goals. By telling someone, you make it that much more real. If your goal is to lose weight, tell people I wanna lose weight! Or if you wanna stop being a dick to everyone, tell your friends to call you out on your bullshit.
I wanna stop masturbating to action figures is something you can tell your friends to call you out on if you have that problem. And the whole reason for telling every single person you know is that it becomes instilled in your brain and your mind makes it that much more important to you. And the third step is to change your pace in life. I am someone that’s extremely guilty of this. If you begin to see that within the past year your life has become so consumed with work, allow yourself the freedom to relax.
Or within the past year if you’ve gotten lazy and done nothing but slack off, it’s time for you to step up and dare I say it, DO WORK. But all of that is useless, completely useless unless… The reason you always fail to carry out your New Years Resolutions is because you’ve never brought yourself to that point. It’s the point in the mind where you tell yourself I must do this. There is nothing else in this world that I can accomplish that is as important as this task to me. Until you have gotten yourself to that specific point, you’ll never accomplish what you want to.
It’s not a matter of whether or not you might do it, it’s that you must do it. Tell your friends and family that you love them, get rid of your anger and hatred for your enemies. And most importantly, learn to love yourself. Don’t be consumed with money and material possessions and all that other bullshit. Let love be the main driver this year in your life. And I say that because I mean it. I mean let’s be honest, you are worth so much more than you think.
As always guys, love and peace.
